Mabhongo Soul

- The Caldwell Dance Center's own performing arts company made up of dancers, musicians, vocalists, actors and spokenword artists from the TCDC family.

Classes range from beginner to advance level of study. For more information on the weekly schedule and fees please email us or stop in to meet with us. TCDC is under the direction of long time arts educator Shari Caldwell.

Artistic Director Shari Caldwell:
Shari is the founder and director of The Caldwell Dance Center. Dance has been a life-long passion for Ms. Caldwell. She has 30 years experience as a performer and 20 years of experience as an arts educator. She is connected to a rich legacy of dance history as a student of Bowen Peters School of Dance, the first African-American dance school in New Haven. She studied with Dr. Angela Bowen, Dr. Pearl Primus, Alvin Ailey and Les Ballets Africans and Merveille D’Afrique. Shari was a dancer in the Paul Hall Contemporary Dance Company based in New Haven.
